Middle School Experience Night
Who: Any 8th grade band student zoned for or considering attending Braden River High School
When: Friday, September 26th, 5pm – 10pm
Where: Braden River High School (Schedule below)
Why: Get a chance to experience what being part of the Marching Band of Pirates would be like before you get to High School.
Details
On Friday, September 26th, please come to Braden River High School and meet up with members of the Marching Band of Pirates for a brief rehearsal to prepare you for a night of fun, music, and making new friends. Please arrive as early as you are able but preferably before 5pm. Middle School students will be performing BEFORE the game with the Marching Band of Pirates for a special pregame show.
Arrive: Please arrive as early as you can, we will have a rehearsal from 5pm – 6pm to help everyone with the music and any instrument concerns. When you arrive, meet us in the BRHS Auditorium, there will be student guides in front of the school to help you find your way.
Parking/dropoff/pick-up: Student drop off will be in the Bus Loop right in front of the auditorium or at main entrance. Parents staying as chaperones should park in front of the school/Faculty and staff parking lot. Pick-up will be at the flagpoles directly in front of the school.
Parent Attendance: BRHS provides limited attendance for parents/guardians to only approved and listed chaperones for your attending middle school. Please coordinate with your middle school director to become an approved chaperone. All other attendees are required to purchase a ticket for attendance.
Please bring:
1. Music (ask your band director)
2. Instrument (we can only loan a few very specific instruments)
3. Money for concessions if you’re hungry later in the evening.
Braden River will be supplying you with a T-shirt that night to wear.
MBOP will be performing their 2025 production Winds of Change… during half time
Students are welcome to stay to the end of the game or depart following halftime.
Schedule
​4:00pm - 5:00pm: Arrive at BRHS - Dropoff at flagpoles in front of school
5:00pm: MS and HS students practice
6:00pm: HS prepare to walk
6:15pm: HS and MS group walk to stadium
6:30pm: Mass performance
6:45pm: Percussion make tunnel
7:00pm: game start
8:30pm - 9:30pm: Approximate Halftime (MS students are welcome to leave following halftime performance. Pick up will be at the flag poles in front of the school)
10:30pm: Approximate game end time
